One Xavier: Centennial Logo Unveiling and Pre-Launch

 Xavier University – Ateneo de Cagayan (XU) and Laminar Aviation, Inc. (LAI) have officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to foster collaboration in academic programs, training initiatives, and other mutually beneficial projects.

The signing ceremony, held at the Laminar Aviation Pilot Training Facility and Hangar in Laguindingan International Airport, marked the beginning of an exciting partnership between these two prestigious institutions. Representing XU was University President Fr. Mars P. Tan, SJ, while Founder Capt. Carlo G. Aclan led the LAI delegation.

A Shared Vision for Innovation and Growth

This partnership is built on shared values of equality, reciprocity, and mutual benefit, with both XU and LAI dedicated to creating opportunities for joint academic and training programs. Key areas of collaboration include:

• Capacity Building: Providing innovative and inclusive training programs to empower students and professionals in the field of aviation.

The MOU serves as a framework for future cooperation, ensuring that all activities will be negotiated, approved, and governed by separate agreements. Both institutions are committed to respecting each other’s independence while working within their academic and financial capacities.

Laminar Aviation, Inc., a professional flight training organization based in Subic Bay Freeport Zone, and Xavier University, recently recognized as a top-performing university in Asia in the 2025 QS University Rankings, are joining forces to make aviation education more accessible to aspiring pilots and aviation professionals in Northern Mindanao and neighboring regions.
